Continuum — Green Marble Loop
A single continuous ribbon of green marble, folded back through itself so there is no beginning and no end to the form. The loop reads differently from every angle — closed and solid from one side, open and weightless from another — and the polished surface pulls the surrounding light across the curve.
The stone is a deep mottled green with paler crystalline flecks running through it, and because the piece is carved from one block the colour and figure run continuously around the whole loop rather than breaking at a join. Cutting an unsupported curve of this span in solid marble is demanding work; the section has to stay thick enough to carry its own weight while still reading as thin.
Carved by hand and mounted on a plinth cut from the same stone. Made to order and hand-inspected before crating. Alternative stones and scales available on request.
